Acrocanthosaurus Atokensis, walking down the beach of what will become Texas some 110 millions of years later, leaving footprints in the sand which just might end fossilized.
I'm really happy how this turned out. Obviously, it was inspired by the Giganotosaurus of that latest Jurassic Park movie (I honestly thought that was Acrocanthosaurus from the trailers), what with the crests and stripes and all; but in the end, I managed to get him to look quite bird-like, without adding any feathers or fluff.
My idea was to call this piece "Texas tiger", but my wife took one look at it and decided it should be called Hobbes, in reference to the famous tiger of Bill Waterson's immortal comic :)
